The RFW Program Managers are responsible for managing the overall operations of the initiative, working with the MI RFW Taskforce, coordinating efforts with the Recovery Friendly Advisors and Recovery Community Organization (RCO) partners, and developing new opportunities and connections to support employers and the community. They can assist in the coordination of trainings within your organization to help develop a supportive environment. Recovery Friendly Advisors (RFAs)

  • RFAs are located around the state and provide a valuable understanding of the needs of their communities, knowledge of resources, and potential challenges. They are an important resource for all organizations and their employees.
  • RFAs support interested employers in finding evidence-based practices to meet their individualized needs.
  • RFAs help employers develop and sustain the RFW Initiative in the workplace.
  • RFAs consult with employers to plan trainings related to substance use disorder, behavioral health, and addiction that are tailored to the company’s specific needs.
  • RFAs provide employers with information and resources to promote health, well-being, and recovery for themselves and their family members.
