TC Journey Church is proud to announce it has been officially designated as a Recovery Friendly Workplace (RFW), a commitment that reflects its dedication to supporting individuals in or seeking recovery and fostering a healthier, more inclusive work environment.
Joshua Henderson, a leader connected with the initiative, shared why this step was important for the organization.

“Our church was thrilled to learn more about how we could better engage those seeking recovery. We felt RFW was a great way to prepare our organization for not only hiring those in recovery, but also working with those in recovery through our ministries and volunteers.”
Describing the process of becoming an RFW, Henderson added, “It was a simple process to get started on the RFW training. I met with 217 Recovery Community Organization who gave us training dates, and we advertised through our church program. Marny and Corey came out and had everything they needed to present to us.”
Through its RFW designation, TC Journey Church reinforces its commitment to reducing stigma, promoting recovery education, and building stronger community connections. The organization encourages others—businesses, nonprofits, faith communities, and beyond—to consider becoming part of the Recovery Friendly Workplace movement.
