Harbor Hall, INC Announces New Program to Support Individuals and Families Impacted by Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and Opioid Use Disorder (OUD)

Harbor Hall Inc, in Petoskey Michigan, has over 50 years of experience providing comprehensive substance use disorder treatment through its PIES model (Physical, Intellectual, Emotional, Social). Services include residential, outpatient, transitional living, detox services, Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), and co-occurring mental health support, fostering holistic recovery in a compassionate, healing environment.

“The Recovery Friendly Workplace Initiative aligns perfectly with our mission and reflects our continued commitment to supporting individuals and families impacted by substance use disorder (SUD) and opioid use disorder (OUD).

We recognize that recovery is a strength, and that our team is made stronger by the voices and experiences of those who have walked the path. Colleagues with lived experience offer not only deep insight but hope and support to others still on their journey. As we take this step, we are reaffirming our dedication to creating a healthy, safe, and inclusive workplace where all staff can heal, grow, and thrive.” – Heather Diggs, Director of Regulatory Compliance, Quality Improvement, Recipient Rights Advocate and Outreach Coordinator.

The Michigan Recovery Friendly Workplace Initiative helps businesses develop “recovery-friendly” workplace cultures to help support those impacted by a substance use disorder, and promote health, safety and wellness for Michigan employers and employees. By creating a recovery friendly environment, employers send a message to their communities that they understand the importance of a solution-focused approach by addressing addiction and behavioral health “head-on.”
