On August 22, 2024, Balancing Acts: Navigating Substance Use Disorders, Opioids, and Workplace Wellness will take place both virtually and in person at Laurel Manor in Livonia. This annual summit is organized by a collaboration of organizations, including the Southeast Michigan Alliance for Addiction-free Communities (SEMAAC), Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network (DWIHN), MPHI, and the Michigan Recovery Friendly Workplace Program. The goal this year is to establish a platform for comprehending innovative programs that are tackling a longstanding crisis within our diverse communities.
Each year, this summit provides opportunities to learn more from community partners striving to support efforts in prevention, treatment, and recovery. There will be two tracks to choose from, continuing to broaden efforts in the community to expand understanding, reduce stigma, and open the doors of communication.
